Double dip?

The world is now in turmoil as both Euro and US sees no improvement on their current debt situation.
Stocks are actually bad for the world. Why? Because you don't actually buy anything except papers and
when it burns, it burns fast, but real money are being discarded whenever stocks values are lost.
For example, you can buy Energy or oil stocks, but you are not actually buying any to store in your house, those money just went to the company's value instead of to the public. When you buy gold, you are not buying gold from some gold smith shop whereby the money could be earned by the sales staff and the shop owners but you are just buying some value of Gold.
Do i sound ignorant, well, i should be.
yeah!
